A Short Bio
My professional career has taken a few twists and turns over the years. My dream as a boy growing up in rural Georgia was to be a radio host. I achieved that dream at age 18 when I began a 25-year career in broadcasting. My niche was always jazz. I went from hosting a top jazz show on a popular Atlanta radio station to working as a Program Director, Music Director, and on-air host for some of the first Smooth Jazz stations in the USA in places like Raleigh/Durham, Boston, Philadelphia, and Phoenix. Now, I host “Today’s Jazz” from 3-7 pm Mountain Time on SKY7Music.com.
In addition to my radio career, I became a voiceover artist, working as the voice for television, films, audiobooks, internet applications, corporate training videos, cartoons, IVR telephone systems, and video games. I was even the Public Address Announcer for the Atlanta Hawks during their 1983-84 season at the Omni arena. Since then, I’ve also worked as an actor in Hollywood and Phoenix, playing lead roles as detectives, criminals, suburban dads, and more on camera and onstage.
